There were a lot of strong guesses this week and clearly we have a few ‘pun-masters’ reading our blog–going off what Michael said, we have been “trying to ease you into the new year” but we don’t want anybody to get “tired” of guessing our Teaser IR Images, so we’re going to have to step things up!
Answer: This is an infrared image of a tire tread after it has been driving for a short distance. It is already cooling down from when the vehicle first stopped. By watching the heating pattern on the tread, one can often determine alignment or balancing issues.
