Introduction to Thermography for Building Sciences Seminar— with Michael Stuart and Home Performance Washington

Michael Stuart

On Thursday, January 20 in our backyard (Seattle, WA),  Michael Stuart of Fluke Thermal Imaging will give an all-day seminar on the basics of thermography for building sciences. Hosted by Home Performance Washington (HPW), this 6-8 hour seminar will cover the capabilities and limitations of infrared thermography technology, applications of the technology (with a primary focus on building science), tips, tricks and best practices for using thermal imagers in buildings applications, and more!

Michael will also introduce you to the basics of how to use your camera or thermal imaging system to:

  • Inspect
  • Diagnose
  • Confirm that the job was done properly
  • Build your business

And in order to practice what is being preached, there will be hands-on time with thermal imagers/cameras, including experiments to help put your learning to test. Participants are encouraged to bring their own thermal imagers, as a limited number of imagers will be available for shared use by participants.

Note: This course is not intended to take the place of a formal ASNT Level 1 Thermography training, or RESNET Interim Guidelines for Thermographic Inspections of Buildings training.
